Hi everyone, 2025 feels weird,
Keypoints of this update:
- Venting & Vibing
- Switching engine to godot
- Concept is locked
While in development hell I learnt than I tend to jump to the next layer of the overall concept in hopes that when all segments are done it will magically synergize together I think this is a somewhat valid development process if you leave features in a well documented state, with clear intent with how it needs to be worked on later
Regardless its turned into something difficult to visualize as an end product. Part of this is due to the limitations of the engine. I’ve been using a cracked version of Game Maker Studio 1.5 for years because it’s an environment I’m familiar and comfortable in
But the 3d elements are tedious to work with. Since this year I have started working in Godot
Mostly just tutorials and reading documentation at the moment. By March I’m hoping to rebuild my game and get something playable to release in July. Its far away and I’m sorry to the few of you that have been keeping up with the my project
While switching over and learning a new engine its given me time to comb through notes and really lock in the concept. I think if I do another devlog here I will talk about it in far more detail
